Linear Extrapolation

Linear extrapolation is a method for estimating the value of anything outside the known range by extending a straight line from existing data points. It estimates what will happen next in a pattern based on historical data. While it is simple, it may not always be completely correct, particularly if occurrences do not follow a straight-line pattern.
